Expectations, Opportunities

Opportunity and Expectation.

Expectations are about the future. They limit the thinking and the fluidity. I saw a movie called Broken Arrow yesterday. Travolta (yuck) tried to explain to a loud mouthed civilian about military operations. They are fluidly reactive .. contingencies are planned out for hte unlikeliest of events. And yet, they are not relied on. Fluid action. Real time thinking. Expectations create blind spots in the contingency creation, and in the realtime moments of reactivity. I live this way, as a fluid realtime system. No rehearsal, contingencies available and known well, and usually not utilized.

Opportunities occur in advance, to offer contingencies. They occur also in realtime - more valuably so. They create the fluid space available to act within. An opportunity is everything, prejudged information, useful for construction later/now of any goal state. Hammer a nail with a cotton ball when you need to - when it is the best hammer available. How would I? When it is the available opportunity, and I need a hammer (unlikely since that wouldbe an expectation), I will tell you how I did it. :)

Those are opportunities. Expect no less for yourself.
